Description
UT Health East Texas is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery team in the beautiful city of Tyler, TX. UT Health Tyler is the only quaternary care cardiac surgical program in East Texas. We are looking for experienced advanced practice practitioners who are experienced in OR first assist and rounding in the ICU. Harvesting experience is a plus!
About the job:
- Employment Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Inpatient Only
- Team: Collaborate with expanding team- 3 Surgeons, 6 Advanced Practice Practitioners, and support staff
- Practice Settings: In Hospital, OR, ICU, and floor possibilities
- Patient Load: Daily expectation of 15-20 patients
- Schedule: 4, 10-hour shifts
- Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend/month expected
- Call Duty: Rotational
- EMR system: Epic

The UT Health East Texas system is comprised of nine hospitals, more than 90 physician clinics, over 500 employed providers, 13 regional rehabilitation facilities, two freestanding emergency centers, six urgent care clinics, regional home health services covering 41 counties, an EMS fleet of more than 60 ambulances and four helicopters, and a comprehensive seven-trauma center care network, including a Level 1 trauma center.
