Atlantic Health is Seeking a Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner in Morristown, NJ

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner to join North Jersey Thoracic Surgical Associates. This nationally ranked and expanding service line offers a collaborative practice environment with experienced thoracic surgeons and a high volume of cases. The Nurse Practitioner will support both inpatient and outpatient care, with responsibilities at Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, and a satellite office in Clark, NJ. The role is primarily outpatient, with additional inpatient rounding and wound care responsibilities.

Candidates with at least two years of experience are preferred, particularly with adult and critical care populations. Responsibilities include performing patient assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, assisting in surgical and post-operative care, developing and implementing treatment plans, providing patient education, collaborating with the care team, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• 2 years of NP experience is preferred
• Must have excellent communication and computer skills
• Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
