- Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:45 PM (12-hour days)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,730–$1,860
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Current Certified Surgical Technician (CVOR) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital OR setting
- Experience in cardiac surgery (including heart and lung transplants) highly preferred
- Willingness and ability to take call as required (Cardiac OR call rotation)
- Completion of all onboarding health and background requirements (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, TB/PPD, Fit Test, Influenza, physical/health statement, background check, education and employment verification, skills checklist, competency exam, and valid driver's license/state ID)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and OR staff during cardiac procedures, including heart and lung transplants
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure proper handling and sterilization of surgical instruments
- Support day shift operations by covering lunches and accepting assignments post-lunch
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, perioperative nurses, perfusionists, and other OR team members to deliver exceptional patient care
- Participate in call rotation and respond promptly to urgent cardiac OR needs
- Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards to ensure patient and staff safety
