Cardiac Surgery Faculty Position
Department: Mass General Brigham Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI), Cardiac Surgery Division Reports To: Chief of Cardiac Surgery, Mass General Brigham
The Division of Cardiac Surgery within the Heart and Vascular Institute at Mass General Brigham is seeking a full-time academic board certified/board eligible or foreign equivalent cardiac surgeon. Mass General Brigham is a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School with two campuses at Mass General Hospital (Fruit St) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Francis St Campus).
Surgeons of all levels of experience will be considered. Subspecialty interest in catheter-based approaches to the treatment of structural heart disease, surgical management of coronary artery disease, or cardiovascular intensive care is desirable. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated academic productivity in basic science, clinical outcomes of research or device design and innovation. Prerequisites include a commitment to the educational mission and an attitude of teamwork and collaboration within the Division, across disciplines and across Mass General Brigham sites and a commitment to teaching Harvard learners.
The candidate should also be qualified to be appointed at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level at Harvard Medical School. Salary and academic appointments will be commensurate with training and level of experience.
