Description
Salary: The budgeted salary range for the position is $250,000 to $550,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
This position is intended to be eligible for benefits. This includes Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, a Retirement Plan, Paid time Off, and Tuition waivers for employees and dependents.
Job Summary
The University of Illinois at Chicago Department of Surgery seeks a full-time surgeon (Assistant Professor or Associate Professor the most, junior, or intermediate level) to provide the full breadth of Transplant Surgery services.
The Faculty/Physician Surgeon will function as a Transplant Surgeon. This position will be responsible for providing patient care and clinical activities in the area of Transplant Surgery.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care and treatment in the area of Transplant Surgery.
- Assist with teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
- Participate in clinical research.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- M.D. Degree or a foreign equivalent
- Training in a Surgical Residency Program
- Board Certification in Surgery or eligibility for certification
- ASTS Certified
- Illinois medical license, eligibility to obtain this license
- Expertise in robotic surgery as applied to the field of Transplantation
