Practice & Cases

• Adult inpatient general surgery coverage
• Rounding and admissions on assigned patients
• Approximately 1 to 3 patients seen per shift with about 5 phone consults
• General surgery procedures including trauma, laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, vascular procedures, and central line placement

Schedule

• Weekend coverage blocks
• Call required with a 30-minute response time
• Shift times determined during scheduling
• Weekend coverage structure based on client needs

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Active Texas medical license required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years in General Surgery
• ACLS required

Logistics
