Description
Advanced Surgical Associates in Sarasota, FL is seeking an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to support surgeons in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In this on-site role, you will prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical trays; assist chairside during extractions, implants, and other oral surgery procedures; and uphold strict infection control and sterilization standards. You will take radiographs, document accurately in records, and provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions. Working in a collaborative, compassionate team, you will support patient comfort, coordinate flow with front office staff, and participate in ongoing learning and process improvement.Assist oral surgeon during exams and surgical procedures, including extractions and implants
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical trays to meet strict infection control standards
Take and process dental radiographs and maintain accurate clinical records
Provide pre- and post-operative instructions and education to patients and caregivers
Monitor patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures
Manage instrument sterilization, equipment checks, and operatory turnover
Coordinate patient flow, appointments, and follow-up with front office team
Support inventory management for surgical supplies and materials
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other staff to deliver patient-centered care
Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives
Chairside oral surgery assisting
