Position Summary
The University of Utah General Surgery Residency Program is accepting applications for a PGY4 Categorical General Surgery Resident to begin on July 1, 2026. (due to approved research year for a current resident). Applicants must have successfully completed PGY1 through PGY3 training in an ACGMEaccredited general surgery residency program. The University of Utah, a nationally recognized tertiary care academic medical center in the Mountain West, offers a highacuity, academically focused and supportive surgical training environment. Our residents gain exposure to a broad spectrum of operative and non-operative patient care and are well prepared for both competitive fellowships and community practice.

Job Type: Full Time
Job Duration: 2 years (with annual contract, renewed based on eligibility for advancement and employment)

Eligibility Requirements:
Completion of accredited PGY1, PGY2, and PGY3 surgery training.
Good standing in current residency program.
Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Utah
