The ACGME-accredited University at Buffalo Surgery Residency Program has an open Preliminary PGY-1 position available for the 2026-2027 academic year. Anticipated start date is June 29, 2026. • ERAS Application
• Current CV
• Personal Statement
• USMLE Score Transcript (Step 1, Step 2, and if applicable Step 3).
• 3 Letters of Recommendation (LORs) - Note that LORs may be sent separately from the letter writers
• Medical School Transcript, Dean’s Letter (MSPE) and Diploma 
• If  previous GME training has been completed in an ACGME program, please provide ITE score & letter from Program Director 
• Foreign Medical Graduates: ECFMG Certification, visa status. (please note we sponsor J-1 Visa only)
