RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shifts Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (may be asked to stay until 3:30 PM)
\n• Provide surgical nursing care for ENT (pediatric and mostly geriatric and bariatric), urology, gynecology, general surgery, and smaller orthopedic cases (shoulder, knee, and hip)
\n• Must have circulator experience and be ready to work independently on day one
\n• Maintain 1:1 nurse to patient ratio
\n• On-call requirement 1-2 times per week and potentially on weekends
\n• May be asked to float to St. Patrick's OR (only 5 minutes away)
\n• Temporary assignment with ASAP start
\n• Required certifications: BLS via AHA, ACLS via AHA, PALS via AHA
\n• RN License in state of Louisiana or compact state required
\n• Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
\n• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
\n• Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
\n• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
\n• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
\n• Provide patient and family education as needed
